SQM REPORTS EARNINGS FOR THE FIRST NINE MONTHS OF 2010 Santiago, Chile, November 23, 2010.- Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) (NYSE: SQM; Santiago Stock Exchange: SQM-B, SQM-A) reported today earnings for the first nine months of 2010 of US$276.3 million (US$1.05 per ADR), an increase of 6.5% with respect to the same period of 2009, when earnings totaled US$259.4 million (US$0.99 per ADR). Gross Margin reached US$454.4 million (34.3% of revenues), 11.5% higher than the US$407.5 million (38.7% of revenues) recorded during the first nine months of 2009.
